Cricket on the Hearth

Cricket on the Hearth is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novella, “The Cricket on the Hearth”. This engaging Christmas story draws together the elements of New York City in 1918, the captivating rich characters found in an unfinished work with great potential of becoming yet another Dickens Classic tale. The world of enchanting toys is unbalanced by hideous disfigured ones lurking, appeasing the wounded conscience of the toymaker, Tackelton. Tormenting children is not enough as he sets out to wound others, especially his biggest competition, Caleb. Preying on tragedy, he starts pulling their family apart, until…. Chirp, Chirp, Chirp. The sound of the Cricket is heard through a charming comical Cricket, who not only helps their conscience, but guides them to remember the hope found in the miracle of Christmas. All culminates to create a spellbinding story sure to delight worldwide audiences and leave them with a skip in their step and warmth in their heart.
